The Principal of Arkana College was honoured to be the MC at an Iftar organised by the Affinity Intercultural Foundation at the NSW State Parliament on 01/09/09. The event, co hosted by the ALP, Liberals and Nationals was attended by numerous members of parliament from all sides of the political spectrum including some government ministers. Leaders of numerous religions, community groups, senior police and academics were also present as were consular heads from numerous missions. The night was a triumph for all that is good about a multicultural Australia and it’s encouraging for the Affinity Intercultural Foundation  to represent the Muslim community in making a meaningful effort to form partnerships and friendships with people and communities from all walks of life. The night included an award ceremony for members of the community who have contributed toward a more inclusive and peaceful society.
