This year, Arkana College students, parents and staff invited Mount Sinai for iftaar as part of our interfaith journey. This was an incredible experience for both communities, to come together for iftaar and engage in dialogue.

The evening was spectacular with the halal menu donated generously by the Mr and Mrs Refai, Mr and Mrs Murgatroyd, Mra nd Mrs Dargham and Mr and Mrs Nasser. The children also helped prepare the Kosher menu. Our canteen was turned into a kosher kitchen, we had a kosher supervisor to ensure all set protocols were adhered to, the children and staff prepared salads and fruit platters and Kosherlicious assisted with the remaining menu.

It was a successful event and inshallah, will become an annual part of our program.
